Conleth 'enchants' his way through

CONLETH Kane remains on course for glory in RTE's FAME: The Musical.

Cheered on by his travelling band of supporters who made the trip from Lurgan to the Helix in Dublin on Sunday night, the 26-year-old’s performance of ‘Some Enchanted Evening’ from South Pacific saw him to safety for another week.

On Sunday Conleth will be performing ‘Dancin Fool’ from Copacabana.

He told the ‘MAIL’: “This Sunday is my first up-tempo number with dancers. I have the whole lot - eight backing dancers, and I also plan to join in with the dance.

“I want this to be my best performance yet - a proper spectacle, I promise the viewers that.”

He added: “I think I am winning over some southern support which is wonderful but there is no way I could do it without the help of everyone in Lurgan and all the local media. I owe you all so much.

“I want to publicly say thank you to anyone in Lurgan who picked up the phone this week. I am four weeks away from the final, the only lad from Northern Ireland. I want to do this for myself, my family and my hometown. This could be great for Lurgan!”

Watch Conleth on RTE ONE this Sunday at 6.30pm. Vote for Conleth by calling 0901 6565 807 or texting FAME 7 to 53125. Voting is only open from 7.30pm to 8.30pm on Sunday night.
