“Holly McConville, who won the event last year, and Clara Devine, who came second, both went on to star in Annie, one of the shows that we put on in St Anthony's last September.

“I can't promise that will happen this year, only that the winner will also receive prize money. The competition, just like Britain's Got Talent, is open to all types of acts such as dance groups, solo singers, duets, comedians, gymnasts, etc.

“The only advice is to be fully prepared for your audition as you will not get a second chance. If anyone is interested they can pick up an application form from St Anthony's Centre or just come-along to one of the auditions times fill in an application form and audition.”
