Music and dance session
Older People North West will be hosting an afternoon of traditional Irish music and dance at Malvern House, Chapel Road on Wednesday, May 28 at 2pm.
Local musicians Coisír An Tí will provide traditional Irish music with tin whistle, fiddle and song. A dance instructor will be present to guide participants through various traditional Irish dances. The music and dance session is funded by the City Council Community Relations Fund.
The event is part of the organisation’s timetable of cultural and arts events specifically for older people to allow them to remain involved in cultural activities following on from the UK City of Culture 2013.
Those over 60 are welcome to attend from 2pm to 3.30pm and refreshments will be provided.
