Réalta all set for Flowerfield show
Described by Irish Music Magazine as ‘a full-bodied pipe and whistle extravaganza’, Belfast-based Réalta – who appear at Flowerfield Arts Centre in
Portstewart at 8pm on April 23, carry on the Bothy Band tradition of taking tunes by the scruff of the neck and firing excitement through them like hot.
With a sound based on the twin uilleann piping talents of Conor Lamb and Aaron O’Hagan, propelled by a dynamic accompaniment on guitar, bouzouki and double bass, Réalta make full use the intricate melodies and driving rhythms that make Irish music so loved throughout the world.
