Top bands at Premier

TOP bands are to debut at the Premier this Easter weekend as the bar moves to a primarily music venue.

Having changed the theme of the lounge, which will no longer be serving food, the focus will be on the over 25s who prefer great music rather than a nightclub atmosphere.

Kicking off the entertainment on Saturday night is Down to Earth, the popular Joe Campbell and Mickey McGrath.

The pair have shunned the limelight over the past two years having been very popular in bars across the county.

The talent trio of Thomas Toland, Eoin Kearns and Fionntan Coleman will be hosting a traditional folk session from 4pm on Sunday. Although still youthful, these lads need no introduction on the session circuit having amassed a wealth of experience playing around the country since they were children.

Capping off a superb Easter Sunday line-up is the ever popular Black Gold, with Jim Greene and Gerard Halfpenny who will be playing after the trad session.

Guilty Pleasure will be running on Saturday night with DJ Danny ‘Young C’ Creaney. Monday night will be DJ nite with DJ Andy Reilly - DJ Kevi Lucas plus guests to entertain the bank holiday crowds.
