Yeats and Sligo talk

THE North Coast Association of the National Trust will complete its spring series of lectures on Tuesday, April 3 at 8pm when local author and historian, Jim Hunter, will give a talk on the poet W.B. Yeats and Sligo.

This will replace the previously announced talk by Mark Strong, Coleraine Council’s Countryside and Marine Manager. Jim Hunter is well-known locally as an enthusiastic and knowledgeable lecturer on a wide range of historical and archaeological topics.

Using both sound and visual illustrations, he will explore W.B. Yeats’ life and work and his associations with Sligo.

This talk will, of course, be highly relevant to all those who are booked to go on the Association’s May holiday to Sligo.

As usual, the talk will take place in the Best Western Magherabuoy House Hotel, Portrush. All are, of course, welcome. Cost of admission (payable at the door) is £4.00 and includes tea/coffee and biscuits.
