Local businesses are celebrating their recent success at Northern Ireland’s Tourism and Hospitality Industry at the Holiday at Home Staycation Awards NI 2022.

This public led awards ceremony, which was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belfast demonstrated what superb service and offerings we have home-grown here in Northern Ireland’s tourism and hospitality sector.

Showcasing a variety of categories including Static Caravan Site of the Year, Evening Activity of the Year, Best Local Food / Drinks Brand, Independent Hotel of the Year, Rural Retreat of the Year, Restaurant of the Year and Glamping Site of the Year to name but a few.

Dan’s Wee Cottage, Slieve Croob in Dromara was crowned Self Catering Accommodation of the Year (Co. Down), and Hinch Distillery was named Best Local Food / Drink Brand.

All nominations for these awards came in from the general public. Nominations were gathered through social media, website, and promotional teams on the streets of Newcastle and Portrush.

Once the finalists had been confirmed, these were again offered to the public to choose the winners through an open vote on staycationawards.com – there were over 40,000 votes cast from which the winners were confirmed.

Winners were presented with glassware, and finalists were presented with certificates. The night continued into the wee small hours where guests danced the night away to Fusion band.
