Ulster champions boost for Carrickefergus Grammar School bridge pairs
A Carrickfergus school has chalked up success at the annual Ulster School’s Bridge Pairs competition.
Carrickfergus Grammar School’s Bridge Club has been up and running again since early September and with many new year 8 and 9 pupils taking up the game the future looks promising.
Last week, 24 of the school’s pupils travelled to BRA for the Ulster schools’ event.

Hide AdIn the junior section many Carrickfergus GS players placed very well and Lucas Magill and Adam Weir managed to prevail and gain first place to win that category.
The school’s seniors also performed very well and after a gruelling seven rounds, Alex Haggan and Evan McKeown came out on top to become the 2019 Ulster Schools’ Pairs champions.
