Charity dance

The event will take place on Friday, September 23 in Ballymoney Royal British Legion.

Music will be provided by John McLaughlin. Dancing from 9pm to 1am.

Admission is £5.

Print exhibition

This month, Ballymoney Borough Arts Committee is pleased to host a superb photographic exhibition by the Northern Ireland Photographic Association (NIPA).

This annual exhibition features the best of their work selected by Libby Smith MPAGB EFIAP from the Scottish Photographic Federation. It features a wonderful variety of subjects including portraits, natural history, landscapes and seascapes, architecture, sport and street scenes in both monochrome and colour.

The exhibition is on display in Ballymoney Museum until Friday 30 September. Opening hours are Monday to Thursday and Saturday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-4.30pm. Admission is free. The Museum is located in Ballymoney Town Hall, 1 Townhead Street, Ballymoney Tel 028 2766 0230.

Fun day

The Giants Causeway, Bushmills and Dunseverick Community Associations are having their first joint Fun Day on 24 September at Innisfree Farm, Causeway Road Bushmills from 12 noon to 5pm.

There will be Scottish music and dancing, Irish music and dancing, Zumba dancing and live music all day by our D J, Allistair Kyle.

For the farmers amongst us there will be the chance to show of your skill of Jeep and Trailer Handling and then catch up with the local chat among the vintage tractors cars and lorries on display. The ladies can browse through the variety of stalls on display.

There will be a Fancy Dress Parade by the local school children and this will be judged at 2pm. There will also be farm animals, face painting, bouncy castles, and a barbecue. At 4.30pm there will be a Tug-of-War with teams from the three Community Associations taking part. Admission is £2 per adult and £1 per child.

Tyme dance

An Old Tyme Dance will be held in Ballinlea Orange Hall on Friday 30th September. Music by Sam & Willie O’Neill.

Admission £4.00 including supper. Dancing from 9pm - 12.30. All welcome.

Informative exhibition

Ballymoney Evergreen Club are organising an Informative Exhibition (Helping older people to a better life) in The Lodge Hotel, Coleraine on Wednesday 28th September 2011 11am - 4pm.

There will be information on such things as Health, Energy efficiency, Benefits, Education, safety and much more. Everyone welcome and admission is free.

Dance Club

CAUSEWAY Scottish Country Dance Club reopens on Monday, October 3 from 7.30pm to 9pm in the village hall, Portballintrae.

The club is in its third year and are open to all ages. No partners needed just come and enjoy the dancing. New members will be welcome.

Silver dance

SILVER Wings, Rasharkin is holding a dance in the Community Centre on Wednesday night.

Music will be provided by Bernard Henry. Admission is £4 including supper from 8pm to 9.30pm. Everyone welcome.
