Cullybackey College in the pink for special charity event
Cullybackey College recently hosted a special fundraising event for local breast cancer charity ‘Pretty ‘n’ Pink’.
The Charity Committee, led by Mrs Cummings and Miss Peacock transformed the new Sixth Form Centre with pink balloons, pink table cloths and even pink bone china in order to host a Coffee Morning for staff which would give local establishments a run for their money!
As well as this the School Council hosted a bun sale, where customers were treated to an array of home-baked goodies; a raffle for a pair of Steven Davis’ football boots, worn at Northern Ireland’s final qualifying game with Finland; and a special non-uniform day ensured that staff and pupils can proudly hand over a cheque for £1500 when a representative from the charity will attend the school after the holidays.
