Do you volunteer like Ballymoney’s Khara?

The Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards programme is searching for Ireland’s top youth volunteers and is calling on students from Ballymoney like Khara Rennie, who was a finalist in 2014, to enter the awards

Khara has been an active cadet of St. John Ambulance for nine years and holds a certificate of Level Three Service, the highest standard a cadet can receive.

The only all-Ireland youth initiative of its kind, The Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards, run by Pramerica Systems Ireland Limited in partnership with The National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals (NAPD) and The General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI), rewards post-primary students for volunteer work carried out in their local communities, and recognises outstanding acts of volunteerism by Ireland’s youth.

The Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards is open to all post primary students who volunteer in their community, at school or abroad. To apply for a 2015 award, students must download the application at www.pramerica.ie/spirit, and then submit the completed form to their school principal by 24th October, 2014.
