Get a taste of Cafe Couture

A totally new dimension has been added to Ballymena’s ever popular coffee house culture with the opening of ‘Cafe Couture’ .

Situated on the corner of Mill Street/Pat’s Brae, it’s a trop nouvelle concept encompassing not just food and drinks but clothes in the form of vintage & retro fashion, and even an ice-cream parlour!

Cafe Couture really is the hip, happening outlet that’s got the town, and far beyond, talking with its eclectic mix of the latest refreshment trends and fashion blasts from the past.

Call in to sample one or the other or combine the two. What could be better than a cake and caffeine hit following by some retail therapy?

You can make that call as early as 7.45am when breakfast is served.

Choose from all-day breakfast cooked healthily on the griddle, try our French or cinammon toast, porridge, scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes and lots more.

Eating a little later in the day? Then you’ll enjoy choosing your sit-in or takeaway meal from our delicious range of hot food including fabulously filled and ultra fluffy baked potatoes and temptingly tasty toasties or why not make your selection from our mouthwatering sandwich or fresh salad bar.

Keen to support Ballymena traders, we source our ingredients locally as far as possible and Cafe Couture sells only Dougies Goodies buns and cakes, only Magill’s Meats and only veg from Freshways, Greenvale Street.

Come the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations we will be launching our afternoon teas so why not join us at ‘Jubilee Corner’ on Monday, June 4.

Watch the parade as it turns from Mill Street on to Wellington Street while sampling our special menu for the day or tasting our Jubilee treats such as hot or cold Coronation Chicken and Victoria jam and cream Sponge.

Other big news is the launch of our recession busting breakfast! We are offering a five piece cooked breakfast plus a tea or coffee for just £1.99, sit in or takeaway.

Our concept is to browse, have a coffee, tuck into some cake or ice-cream, have another browse, or just chill out and read the papers - the choice is very much an individual one.

Cafe Couture, which just opened a few weeks ago, is “a work in progress” and future plans include a conference centre on the first floor featuring three interview rooms, conference room, and classroom/boardroom.

Plans are firmly in the pipeline to hold a Saturday afternoon music session and there is also the capability at Cafe Couture to book the premises for fashion shows, product launches or other functions.

Popular wedding specialists, Lynburn bridal wear is located on the floor above us and access is fully available through the cafe during opening hours to their spacious bridal salon which caters for brides, bridesmaids, and mother-of-the-bride and has an outstanding range of new and once worn stock.
