The competition has been hugely popular amongst photographers in County Armagh as they put the county in focus with their submissions.

Joe Mahon is now calling on any budding snappers who would still like to submit their entry to do so before the closing date.

Joe said: “I am thrilled with the standard of photographs we have received so far. While the competition is only open to photographers at an amateur level, the quality of entries has been exceptional.

“There is still plenty of time for those who want to get involved and submit an image of their favourite place. I would still like to see more urban areas recognised as we often overlook the beauty on offer in our towns and cities. People can submit their images at www.u.tv/snapper ”

Twelve finalists will be selected with the winning images featured in the 2016 UTV calendar as well as one overall winner receiving £500 photography equipment.
