Hugh Thompson’s artwork goes to pieces...

COLERAINE Museum Service holds the largest public collection of Hugh Thomson’s work and has now produced a limited range of small wooden jigsaw puzzles using original artworks.

These jigsaws, which measure, 12cm x 8cm contain 40 pieces, including irregular shaped parts, such as rabbits or crowns, for users to discover.

The Hugh Thomson collection tells the story of a local Coleraine boy who achieved worldwide fame. His beautiful illustrations fill books by Jane Austen, William Shakespeare, J. M. Barrie, Austin Dobson, and many others. As well as this, his drawings, for years, decorated tins of Quality Street chocolates.
