Relive great memories at the Strand Hotel Reunion

Memories of great nights may come flooding back: weddings, stag or hen nights, The Cellar Bar and maybe even old boyfriends or girlfriends.

In its heyday The Strand always had great bands like Cuddles, Fresh, Rascals, the T.P.Band and DJs greats such as Emperor Rosko, Kid Jenson, Tony Blackburn, Brian Moore, Barrie Owler, Bob Esler, Clement Dealey, Jimmy Shannon and Frankie McLaughlin among countless others.

On Friday, April 8 at Kelly’s in Portrush you’ll have the chance to relive all those fantastic memories at a Strand Hotel Reunion Night.

One of the highlights promises to be the reunion of local legends Cuddles.

Plug Torrens, Dominic Loughrey, Marine Fullerton, and Brian Bell will be playing together for the first time in many years, with Brian flying back home from Switzerland especially for the night.

The Strand DJs will also be strutting their stuff, with guest appearances by Brian Moore, Barrie Owler and Clement Dealey.

The organisers are also looking for photographic memorabilia associated with the Strand Hotel for a Powerpoint presentation during the evening.

What’s sure to be a fantastic evening will kick off at 8.30pm. Admission is £10, ticket only and all proceeds are going to Meningitis UK.
