The Lady Sandel returns to the Bann

THE popular River Bann cruise vessel “The Lady Sandel” makes a welcome return to the river in early June for another season of public and private cruises from the new landing stage at Coleraine town centre’s Waterside car park.

Over the last few months, the vessel has been totally refurbished internally and will now be offering relaxing 60 minute upstream or downstream cruises for a maximum of 12 passengers in a new level of comfort.

In addition, a series of longer special cruises will be operated during the summer months.

These will include four “Bird and Seal Watching” trips at low tide on June 17th, July 1st, August 1st and August 29th and two “Extended Cruises” to and from Kilrea’s Portneal jetty on June 26th and August 7th to explore the history and beauty of the Bann.

Other special events in the planning stage include a local history walk and cruise, a flower arranging demonstration cruise and a photographers’ cruise.

The intimate, private and secluded nature of the boat and its ability to “get away from it all” on a cruise along Ulster’s premier river also makes it an ideal venue for small private parties, family gatherings, corporate functions and meetings for which special catering can be provided by prior arrangement if required.

Tea/coffee making facilities are always available on board and the vessel is equipped with a toilet, 240 volt power supply, P/A system and a screen for presentations.
