Bournemouth to be Accessible By Air from Belfast this Summer

Bournemouth, the famous resort on England's South Coast will be accessible from Belfast in just over three hours this summer when a new air service to the town's airport begins from Manchester on May 27.

Local travellers will be able to use the flights via Flybe's 'Connections' service leaving George Best Belfast City Airport on one of the airline's two early rotations to Manchester. The onward flight takes off at 10.40am and arrives in Bournemouth approximately an hour later.

The town's beautiful beaches have four Blue Flag Awards for water quality, safety and service while its parks and gardens have won no fewer than 10 Green Flags for horticultural excellence.

Visitors can relax for the day by hiring a sun lounger, seafront chalet, deckchair or windbreak. The town's southerly location means summer visitors are guaranteed to enjoy glorious sunshine during their visit.

The coastline is an ideal location for water sports and the ideal spot for surf boarding, body boarding or paddle boarding. Leisurely cruises to Poole and along the coast are available from Bournemouth's famous pier with Dorset Cruises.

Bournemouth's Beautiful Parks Are a Major Attraction

The town's parks are beautiful with visitors returning to them day after day, The Tropical Gardens at Alum Chine Beach are particularly popular as are the Italianate Gardens in Boscombe.

Shopaholics who can tear themselves away from Bournemouth's beautiful beaches will enjoy visiting the town's department stores and other retail outlets.

Bournemouth is surrounded by the New Forest National Park which offers 94,000 acres of ancient enclosures, plains and forest glades.

Beaulieu Palace House and Gardens are close by. This attraction is just three miles from Exbury Gardens with its world famous displays of rhododendrons, camellias and azaleas. While at the gardens visitors can enjoy travelling on the steam railway.

Portsmouth is also easily accessible. It's an interesting city in its own right and is the port for frequent ferry services to the Isle of Wight, another popular daytrip destination.
