Two night McAfee’s sale in Ballymoney

MCAFEE Auctions have a major two-night sale of 1,300 lots in their Ballymoney saleroom this Thursday and Friday.

And not only does it include lots of pieces of furniture but there are lots of collectibles, coins, silver, paintings, restoration and outdoor lots.

Among the many pieces of furniture in the sale are a very nice mahogany two door sideboard, table and chair sets, inlaid two seater settee, mahogany framed upholstered couch, music cabinet, side tables, occasional tables, firescreens, bookcases, display cabinets, two new beds including a four poster bed, bedroom furniture, chests etc.

Collectibles include many pieces of silver, Royal Doulton including a large collection of figurines, Royal Worcester, Belleek, Sylvac, Royal Winton, bronzes, crystal including glass sets, mason ironstone, tea and dinner sets, copper, brass, collectors plates, oil lamps and musical items.

More unusual items include three old doctors bags, a selection of fur coats and stoles, barometers, Vienna and other mantle clocks, a silver plate, pictures, walking canes, books, towel rails, plant stands, folding patio chairs, earthenware, pot lids, old scales, a Peg Pereog 12v Jeep, an old enamel clothes boiler, bird cages, old trunks, hall chairs, a stationery box, a canteen of cutlery, framed cigarette cards, wall mirrors, overmantles and old tools.

There will also be an extensive selection of jewellery including rings, bracelets, earrings and brooches as well as coins.

“In short there will be something for everyone”, says Gerry McAfee.

Viewing is on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 23-34 from 3pm to 5pm and 7pm to 8.30pm and on each day of the sale from 3.30pm.
