50 days and counting down...

As our picture shows, the team members are counting down the days to a visit to Londonderry, and are shown marking the 50 days and counting in their countdown to sailing into port here for the Maritime Festival.

Last year the team sailed in to the city to a hero’s welcome, and this year the stakes are even higher as the crew have been hovering around podium position for much of the race...

There is a real chance that the team can finish in the top three, and leaving San Francisco last week they were in fourth position. The push to make it ‘home’ may just be the spur they need to dig deep, find new wind and sail into the pontoon at Derry City Council in a medal-winning position.
