Ballintoy Young at Heart Club say thanks

FOR many years now, Margaret Reid has been running the very successful Young –at – Heart Club in Ballintoy village, ably assisted by son, Liam, who prepares all the excellent lunches.

During this time, Margaret has organised a wide variety of interesting and enjoyable activities for club members, including trips home and away, theatre excursions, quizzes, talks and craft workshops, as well as lots of fund-raising for charity.

Everything has been done quietly and with no fuss, despite the fact that Margaret also has had a family to bring up.

The Reids have contributed a lot to the community, bringing people together and making friends along the way.

Members Jean Mc Dougall and Eileen Mc Mullan felt that Margaret and Liam deserved a little “Thank You” from the group, so it was decided to present them with a fruit hamper last week.
