Ballyclare groups get £30k funding boost from Awards for All
Ballyclare’s War Years Remembered group, which brings the war years alive through its interactive mobile museum, will get a £10,000 grant to provide workshops and lessons for children at various schools and for older people in supported housing, folds and nursing homes.
Also benefitting is the Grange Youth and Community Group, which delivers social, educational and recreational activities and workshops for residents in the Grange area of Ballyclare. The group will use a £9,695 grant to deliver a 23 week FRESH (Forging Resilience through Education, Self-Acceptance and Happiness) programme to families, including children.

Hide AdIn addition, Straid Primary School is using its £10,000 grant to purchase iPads for use by schoolchildren, their parents and two community groups – Straid Historical Society and Straid Women’s Institute - during activities and projects after school hours.
