Bootee boost for neonatal unit by Carrickfergus gardeners

Carrickfergus Garden Society has extended thanks to members and friends who supported the Antrim Hospital Neonatal Unit Appeal by sewing or knitting baby items, or donating wool or material,

Leanne Richmond, from the unit, was delighted to accept 253 hats, 180 cardigans, 58 blankets, 53 mattress quilts, 24 laundry bags, two sheets and 17 pairs of bootees, a grand total of 587 items.

A statement from the garden society explained: “This is an on-going appeal; if you do not have the skill or time to donate completed items, you may like to donate material or wool. You can contact us by a message on our Facebook page, or by phoning Bernie on 028 90864898.
