Business cards get green light
COUNCILLORS have given their approval to a new business card design.
A final decision was deferred last month after some members expressed concern that the new council elected next year should be allowed to decide for itself whether new style cards are required.
The recommendation was passed this week, with Alderman David Hilditch pointing out that, as the election is still more than six months away, the new council would have the option of reversing the decision if it wished.
Cllr Roy Beggs questioned the wisdom of a graphic design contract based on a three-year cycle when there are typically four years between council elections.
