Cllr McKillop pleased with Roads Service meeting

Glens Independent councillor Margaret Anne McKillop has had a very successful meeting with D.S.D Roads Service in relation to Cloughs Road Cushendall.

Cllr McKillop said: “Roads Service have agreed to fix a wall that was cracked and unsafe, they have also agreed to look into drains above and below it. These drains have to be continually cleared by the resident. The resident feels that these drains in particular blocking leads to a lot of water lying on the road, leaving the road dangerous and unsafe for drivers.”

Councillor McKillop has also asked Roads Service to look into getting lights from Tully into the village again.

“At present there are only lights for a short distance and residents have got into contact with me stating that they feel unsafe walking especially at this time of year when it is darker a lot earlier,” she added.
