Coleraine Churches Forum marks Community Relations Week

THE role of churches was discussed at a conference on ‘Faith and Politics in a New Age’, as part of Community Relations Week.

60 members of the Coleraine Churches Forum joined church members from across the Province at the event, held at Stormont last Wednesday.

Organised by the Irish School of Ecumenics Education and Reconciliation programme, the keynote speakers were Reverend Dr Johnston McMaster and The Most Reverend Dr Noel Treanor, Bishop of Down and Connor.

The conference was part of an ongoing programme by CONNECT the representative body for Church Fora and interchurch groups and was organised by Churches Fora Development Officer, Eileen Gallagher who is a member of the Community Relations Council.
