Coleraine Times readers meet Christine and Frank

CHELSEA star Frank Lampard and girlfriend, Daybreak TV presenter Christine Bleakley, turned heads when they unexpectedly popped into The Harbour Bar in Portrush on Saturday night.

One of Britain's hottest celebrity couples, the pair were immediately swamped by well wishers and autograph hunters.

The couple have been dating for the past eleven months and speculation has been growing that Lampard, 32, is planning to propose soon.

Frank and Christine, 31, were happy to pose for photos and sign autographs before abandoning plans to dine at the Wine Bar.

The pair headed off to a friend's house in Portstewart.

Their visit sparked a flurry of excitement on Facebook with many locals reporting that they had met the pair.

Radio Ulster presenter Alan Simpson said: "It was a little bit crazy for a while but most people who met them were very civil and polite.

"There was one guy who got a picture with Frank and he made sure of showing off his Man United tattoo. It was all good natured."

The couple's romance has been all over the papers for the past year and they enjoyed their first holiday together in Sardinia in July.
