Arrest after knife incident
Police in Ballymena have arrested a 24 year old man on suspicion of possession of a bladed offensive weapon, common assault and breach of bail following an incident in the Incholm Avenue area of Ballykeel on Wednesday 11th July when a man was threatened by a male armed with a knife.
The man is currently in custody helping police with their enquiries. There are no further details at present.
It is understood that the incident may be related to a flurry of police activity in the Harryville area of the town around lunchtime today (Wednesday).
