Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary in the Hillhead Road area of Ballyclare in the early hours of Sunday, August 20 have charged two people to court.

A 34-year-old woman and 43-year-old man have both been charged with aggravated burglary and stealing, false imprisonment, attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

A PSNI spokesperson confirmed on Thursday evening that the two people are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning (August 25).

"As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.” the spokesperson added.
