Police are currently in attendance at a security alert in the Point Road area of Magilligan, County Londonderry.

The security alert at the Point Road area of Magilligan is now over.

Officers received a report of a suspicious object located in the area. A public safety operation commenced and the object, which was declared as nothing untoward has been taken away.

Police would like to thank the local community for their patience and understanding as officers conducted the public safety operation.
