Teenage girl charged with attempted murder

Detectives have charged a 16-year-old girl with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

She is due to appear before Dungannon Magistrates Court tomorrow later today.

It is understood that the charges arise out of a serious assault in the Union Place area of Dungannon on Thursday.

As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
