Witnesses sought after man attempts to ‘grab’ girl in Rathcoole

Police are appealing for assistance in trying to identify a male who “attempted to grab” a teenage girl in Rathcoole.

Officers believe the incident occurred shortly before 5.30pm on Friday, January 8.

Appealing for information, a PSNI spokesperson said: “The incident occurred in the Innis Walk area of Rathcoole and the male was described as being approximately 30 years old, tall, slim, wearing a black beanie hat, black face mask, black top and black jeans.

“If you witnessed this incident or believe you are in possession of CCTV which captured it, please call 101, quoting reference number 1349 of 08/01/21.”

When asked by the Times to clarify, a PSNI spokesperson said no further details were available.
