Deaths in the local community

Brian Hendron

The death took place on May 18, in England of Brian (Barney) Hendron, formerly of Lurgan.

He was the brother of Mick, Ellen, Sarah and Bridget.

Kathleen Robinson

The death took place peacefully on May 19 of Kathleen Robinson (nee Mulligan) of Mullabrack, Markethill.

She was the wife of Alphonsus (Francie) and mother of Carmel, Michael, Brian, Rose, Marie, Sean and Kevin.

Her funeral was on Thursday from her late home to The Church of St James, Mullabrack followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Lawrence McKavanagh

The death took place on May 20, peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital, of Lawrence McKavanagh, Gilpins Manor, Lurgan.

He was the son of Joan McKavanagh and Simon Magill and grandson of Oliver and Lelia McKavanagh and Terry and the late Veronica Magill.

Sarah Lavery

Sarah Lavery (nee Campbell), passed away peacefully at Aughnacloy House on May 22.

She was the beloved wife of Tony (Grants Lane, Gawleys Gate) and the much loved mother of Seamus, Michael, Noel, Mark and Colm.

Her funeral took place on Monday from her late residence for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Aghagallon followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Patricia Kerr

The death took place on May 24, at hospital, of Patricia (Faye) Kerr, daughter of the late Robert and May Kerr (late of Geddis Avenue, Lurgan).

She was the dearly loved sister of Mary, Tom and Jim.

Funeral service took place on Tuesday at Queen Street Methodist Church followed by interment at Lurgan Cemetery.

Jane Cordner

Jane (Jean) Cordner (late of McCusker Court, Lurgan) died peacefully at Mahon Hill Care home on May 25.

She was the beloved wife of the late James and dear mother of Dorothy, Gladys and Willis and mother-in-law of Roy, Jim and Iris.

Her funeral took place on Wednesday in Lurgan Baptist Church followed by interment at Lurgan Cemetery.
