Deaths in thecommunity

The death took place peacefully at home on October 1 of James (Seamus) McKerr, husband of the late Rosaleen, 101 Meadowbrook, Craigavon.

He was the father of Bernadette, Rosemary, Shirley, Paul and Jim.

His funeral service was on Friday in St Anthony’s Church and then to Roselawn Crematorium.

Conor O’Brien

The death took place suddenly on October 6 of Conor O’Brien, husband of Patricia, 12 Ann Street, Gilford.

He was the brother of Gerard, Damien and Sophie.

His funeral was on Wednesday to St Patrick’s Church, Ballygargan, Tandragee, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Joseph McConaghy

The death took place peacefully at Mahon Hall Nursing Home of Joseph (Joe) McConaghy, husband of Patsy, formerly of Cairn Hall, Brankinstown Road, Aghalee.

He was the brother of the late Thomas and James and uncle of Ethna, Sean, Jarlath, Kenny, Adrian, Catherine, Geraldine and the late Eamon.

His funeral was on Tuesday to St Patrick’s Church, Aghagallon, with interment in Maghernagan Cemetery.

Kathleen Smith

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on October 7 of Kathleen Smith, wife of the late Joseph, 4 Sloan Street, Lurgan, and formerly of Shore Road, Lurgan.

She was the mother of Ann, Bronagh, Kieran and Catherine.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to St Peter’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.
