A Craigavon councillor has voiced disgust after a used nappy was tossed from a car minutes after a Portadown road was cleaned.

DUP Cllr Margaret Tinsley said she was delighted when the Department for Infrastructure answered her call to clear up the Charlestown Road and Elizabeth Terrace area of Portadown.

However became very ‘frustrated’ and disgusted that ten minutes after she took photos of the cleaned up area, someone threw a dirty nappy from a car onto the path.

Writing on Facebook, Cllr Tinsley said: “I am delighted that DFI roads have done a good job clearing the area I requested around the Charlestown Road and Elizabeth Terrace.

“But frustrated that 10 mins after I took the photographs, someone has thrown a used nappy from a car onto the path.

“Why are people so lazy and disgusting?
