Glenarm attack had ‘sectarian’ motive, claims SF councillor

Police are appealing for information following an incident of criminal damage in Glenarm in the early hours of Monday morning.

At about 4.55am, a man dressed in a balaclava and gloves smashed several windows of a house and car in the Channel Vista area of the village.

Sinn Fein Councillor James McKeown condemned the attack and said he believed the motive was sectarian in nature.

He added: “There is no place for this sort of behaviour in Glenarm, especially now when visitors are coming in to the village to enjoy the Dalriada Festival.”
