Glynn by-pass plan queried
Larne Council is to seek clarification from the Department of Regional Development regarding plans to construct a by-pass at Glynn.
It comes after the Department contacted the local authority to ask if it would be interested in purchasing a piece of land at 2 Shore Road in the village, which has been declared surplus to requirements.
However, during a confidential discussion on the issue at January’s policy and resources committee, Councillor Brian Dunn pointed out that the site in question had been proposed for the Glynn by-pass, and questioned whether the project had now been abandoned.
It was resolved that the council would write to the Department to seek clarification on the matter.
