Honoured to represent town

LURGAN's own Conleth Kane was one of the stars of the Lurgan 400 concert on Saturday night.

He told the 'MAIL': "The atmosphere in the park was incredible and I could not believe the amount of people who came up to me telling me they came especially to see me, from young to old.

"Everyone was so supportive when I came on stage and I even had to sign autographs and get my pictures taken with people.

"The only disadvantage was not having my parents there because they flew to the states that day and the holiday was pre-booked, but the Lurgan crowd made up for it.

"The other artists were lovely too and I even got advice from Niamh Kavanagh about applying to represent the country on the Eurovision Song Contest next year.

"Eamonn Holmes and his wife, Ruth Langford were so friendly. It really was a special day and I was honoured to represent the town on the stage.

His outfit on the night was provided by Lurgan store Cloth.

Conleth said: "Cloth is a great, urban, stylish store and I am glad Cathy Martin PR recommended it to me as I know where I'll be shopping in the future when I visit home. Everyone, check it out.”
