Housing Executive told of anti-social concerns in Sunnylands estate
Last Friday, rubbish set on fire outside the home of a frail bed bound pensioner spread to the property at Fergus Court just feet from a gas meter box.
After consulting with local residents, DUP MLA David Hilditch and party colleague deputy mayor Cllr Cheryl Johnston are meeting with representatives of the Housing Executive in Fergus Court to explore what options are available to improve security and “alleviate any fears or concerns from those living there”.

Cllr Johnston said: “After speaking with residents, it is clear this is a massive issue for them. Elderly residents are unable to park at their own homes and it is also having knock-on effects for visitors, carers, etc as well.
“I would urge people to please adhere to the signs that are in place and leave this area for residents parking and park at a more appropriate location.”
