Stacey Webb, 23, won the Miss Belfast title at a heat recently held in Cafe Vaudeville, Belfast.

The history student at Queen’s University says she can’t wait to compete for the coveted Miss Northern Ireland Crown at a glittering gala finale on May 13 at the Europa Hotel.

Stacey, who also works part time for Benefit Cosmetics and is a volunteer for a local charity, says it was her mum and Nanny who persuaded her to enter the contest.

“I never thought of entering until recently when I plucked up the courage and decided to enter,” said Stacey.

The winner will receive thousands of pounds of prizes including an all expenses paid trip to the Miss World Competition in Indonesia and a car from Downey’s taxed and insured for a year by Open + Direct.
