In fact, Richard Kane, an arable farmer near Limavady has already featured in the first episode - screened on Monday, January 13 - waiting for the torrential rain to stop so he can begin sowing for rapeseed.

The next episode, to be shown on January 27, looks at the month of March with not so good news for Richard Kane. The wet and cold weather means his rapeseed crop is behind schedule - but much worse is to come as the arctic weather cripples much of the country. February 3’s episode, looking at the month of April, will see the McCartney’s near Dungiven make their first appearance.
