Local man seeks furry fundraisers

AS winter approaches, a local fundraiser has offered people a chance to give the beauty regime a break and ditch the razor to raise vital funds to help in the fight against muscle disease.

Lisburn man Glenn Oakes is appealing for readers to get hairy in November in aid of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. Men are encouraged to grow their beards in return for sponsorship money, and women to not shave their legs for as long as they wish during the last three weeks of November.

All participants will be treated to a professional wet shave by Peter Oliver Hairdressing and leg wax by the Pamper Zone at the Holiday Inn, Belfast on November 30 whilst being entertained by Big Spenda and the Divas.
