Man killed in scrambler crash to be laid to rest
Ryan Phillips from the White Mountain Road area died after two scrambler bikes collided on a laneway near the M1 park and ride at Sprucefield on Sunday evening.
An 18-year-old man who was also injured in the crash was taken to hospital, but his injuries aren’t thought to be life-threatening.

Hide AdMr Phillips (27) was a former pupil of Beechlawn School and later studied construction at South Eastern Regional College.
His death has been described as “a tragic loss of a young life.”
A family notice describes Mr Phillips as a dearly beloved son and grandson who will be “lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his sorrowing parents, sister, brother, grandmother and the entire family circle”.
A number of floral tributes have been left at the park and ride, close to where the tragic incident occurred on Sunday shortly after 6pm.

Hide AdMr Phillips’ funeral service is due to take place at St Colman’s Church, Lambeg on Thursday at 11am.
He will be laid to rest at St Joseph’s Cemetery, Magheragall.
