Man verballyabused police after fall out

A Coleraine man has been banned from using abusive language towards the police and Simon Community staff after being bound over to keep the peace for two years on the sum of £250.

Dylon McConnell (20), of Woodford Park, appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court and admitted being disorderly at the Simon Community at Lodge Road on September 13.

A prosecutor said McConnell was at the premises at 8.30am and was abusive to staff who would not disclose information regarding a resident.

The defendant told police to “f--k off” and was abusive when he refused to identify himself.

A dsolicitor said her client had a fall-out with a Simon Community resident whom he had lent a sum of money and he had gone to the premises to sort the matter out.

* A dispute in a store regarding the sale of alcohol to a man and on the way out he caused £290 damage to a glass door.

Marcin Robert Kundera (35) of Portstewart Road, Coleraine, admitted causing criminal damage and was put on Probation for a year and is to pay compensation.
