Minister guilty of indecent image charges
THE former Minister of St. Saviour’s Parish Church in Connor has pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children.
Spencer Gilchrist (44) admitted a total of 22 charges at Antrim Crown Court on Monday. He was re-arraigned just before a jury in the case was due to be sworn and entered a plea of guilty.
The former clergyman resigned from his role in 2009. He was released on continuing bail under conditions that he did not go near a computer or use a mobile phone with a camera application. He will be sentenced on March 22.
