Ralph and Olive Kells, from Moneymore, were married in Carndaisy Baptist Church on the foothills of Slieve Gallion on July 26, 1956.

The officiating minister Pastor Robert A Boggs, Tobermore, helped the couple - who were introduced to each other while on a bus trip during a Sunday school outing to Belfast - ‘tie the knot’.

They were joined by family and friends for this memorable occasion, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone attending.

The get together provided an opportunity for reflection on the years that have passed as well as looking forward to the future.

“It’s a great evening for us all,” said daughter Audrey. “Mum and dad enjoyed themselves and so did the rest of us. It was a really special occasion.”

Audrey thanked everyone who helped to make the celebration dinner such an outstanding success.

Instead of receiving gifts to mark the occasion, Ralph and Olive opted for donations in lieu to be made to MacMillan Cancer Support.
