Musician breached his probation order

A MUSICIAN was jailed for seven months at Thursday's sitting of Craigavon Magistrates Court after he admitted breaching a probation order.

A legal representative for Stephen Wilson (28) from Enniskeen said the co-operation his client had been showing with probation service had since ended.

He said it had arisen as a result of a misunderstanding between his client and staff.

The solicitor went on to point out: "He is quite talented at writing his own music and would be well known in the area. He writes hip-hop music."

The district judge said when Wilson had been before him on a previous occasion he had been reluctant to give him a probation order and said it was disappointing Wilson was before the court again. He imposed a four month sentence and put into effect a three month suspended sentence to run consecutively making a total of seven months.
