People encouraged to get check up

PEOPLE in their 50s are being encouraged to get checked out to mark Sexual Health Week, which will take place on September 13-19.

Statistics show that people in their 50s, 60s, and older are having sex with new partners, as some are coming out of relationships and dating again, while many over 50s are discovering new love at this point in their lives. This also means that STI’s in people over 50 are rising fast – and have been for several years.

There are many services that provide support around sexual health issues.
