Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is urging anyone with concerns regarding pests to contact their environmental health officers for advice.

A spokesperson for the local authority said: “The council received a report in May 2020 regarding rats in the Mill Road area. Environmental Health referred this to Translink as the land owner for further investigation and no further reports have been received by the council.

“Although the council does not provide a pest control treatment service, anyone with a concern regarding pests can contact Environmental Health on 028 9034 0160 or email [email protected] and environmental health officers will provide advice regarding pest control and prevention and liaise with other statutory bodies if required.”
