Police trace thief wanted on warrant
Pre-sentence reports have been ordered after a man convicted in his absence of theft and subject to a bench warrant was arrested and brought to court.
Gerard McDonagh (34) from Shankill Street, Lurgan stole a 46” television valued at £378 from Tesco, Dungannon on August 5 2012.
Having failed to turn up at East Tyrone Magistrates Court he was convicted in his absence, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Police traced McDonagh in Enniskillen where the warrant was executed. District Judge John Meehan granted bail and ordered McDonagh to return for sentencing on April 15.
