Police warn drivers to take care on the roads in cold weather
BANBRIDGE is bracing itself for yet more wintry weather as roads freeze over and grit supplies run low.
A spokesperson at the district’s Section Office said they were “snowed under” with queries from people across the area who need roads gritted.
Police are advising motorists to drive with extreme caution due to the current icy conditions on roads throughout the area.

Hide AdA police spokesperson said, “Motorists are asked to drive slowly and take extra care and only go out if absolutely necessary. “Many of the main roads will be gritted but some of the secondary roads may not be gritted so motorists should take the necessary precautions.”
